external speaker placement

    Cobra 25. Supposably has been peaked and tuned so he says. Im not sure though, however iam sure it does have the talkback

    Most likely a fixed resistor is soldered inside the radio for talkback. The value needs to be increased to lower the talkback to a reasonable level, but likely your friend will not want you playing with their CB. This only leaves you the options of moving the speaker and/or lowering the mike gain. The problem with too loud a talkback in your case is you reduce your transmit audio too much if you have to lower the mike very far. So best option is finding a better speaker location.
