Nope you're good. Its a myth that we are all polite Liberals up here lol.

H2S is for oilfield type work. Always useful to have. Its about a 6-8 hour course.

So what you people say on H2S. There might be a chance for Oil Tanker work. Should just wait and do it with the company, if hired. Online class would be worthless?

I always love to joke around with the Canuck's. They're our worst border problem. They pour over the border. Then, all they do is go to Walmart. Then, they go back! :)

I already had HazMat with background check for a few years. When I added TWIC it only took about 2 weeks. I suspect it will take longer if your background check isn't already completed and on file.

    Pour like Maple Syrup lol.

I went and paid for WHMIS, TDG (Canadian equivillent of Hazmat), CSTS, and Ground Disturbance out of my own pocket and ended up redoing it all again when I hired on with a vac truck company. I think it may have helped me get the job though since it showed initiative on my part.

Need a passport to go to Canada now. Although I don't know why you'd want to deal with that border crossing crap ;)

Reading about drug test mistakes/problems. Does anyone think it would be worth having my own hair test done? Offer that in a resume?

No, they must do a UA, that's law. If they also do hair testing, they will want their lab doing it to their specifications. There is no regulations for hair tests so each company that does it will have their own criteria for how long back, what types of compounds to look for, etc..
