Factory door lock remote

    Does any one know how to program a additional factory remote to 2005 vnl670. I have one that came with the truck and it works i want to program another one. I got a new one from volvo dealer but it came with no box or instructions( i heard the instructions are in box) , parts pesonel told me to go thru service and pay 110$ for programing.

    You may have to do that, I have heard of different methods of programming these things for different types of vehicles, You may have to hold both buttons down while toggling the key or maybe a button under the dash to program them... All sorts of stuff. Maybe someone will be through here in a bit to help. Thanks.

    Ask the parts person where the box/instructions are. Probably shouldn't have accepted the remote without them.
    Also try Google or YouTube for instructions.

    Taking a remote out of the box is a good way for service to make 100$. This a way how to make easy money by dealer.
