Just get the manual restriction. Trucks come standard with automatics these days, and manuals have to be special ordered. In our company, only 4 trucks in the entire fleet remain with a manual transmission, and all new trucks come with autoshifts (if they even come at all). There is a shortage of new trucks, so very few, if any, companies are opting to wait additional time to get a manual special-ordered. We have 4 trucks lost in la-la land right now... ordered last September, supposed to be here in March... then May... now August. By the time they show up, these 2022s will be 2023s. We don't have time to wait even longer for manuals, as we have trucks going over mileage every week and can't even replace them.
So, yeah... go auto, get a job, worry about it later (if ever).
