Her playing the guessing game shows She’s the one who’s unsure. Fishing to see what you know. Maybe She just wants another date. Maybe You remind her of an Ex.Maybe She’s on .... never mind. It’s not right, how are you supposed to improve so called mistake? Very Manipulative. Better pass on the date.

I would say welcome to trucking but saying welcome to women with authority would be more accurate. Wait until you meet a few behind the glass at a grocery distribution center or get a D.O.T. inspection by one. Women in this industry are the worst I swear. (the lovely women drivers not included in this of course). I love my wife with all my heart but i'm not letting her anywhere near a badge or a clipboard.
Edit: not saying having a male examiner would have helped on this one they don't play with the air brake test.

I just graduated on the 27th of Dec in Kentucky and during the in cab after tug test and the service brake test we were told you build your air pressure if necessary by holding the rpm’s at 15 until its between 120 to 125. Shut the truck off and then we would tell the trooper at this time I will get out and chock my wheels to perform my air down test would you like me to do so. Turn the key to acc only do not crank the truck.(build your pressure up then if needed but be sure and turn your truck to acc obly afterwards) You push in both your brake valves and say with my foot applied to my service brakes i should loose no more 4 psi in 1 min would you please time me. When hes time is up you then say while fanning my brakes between 80 to 60 psi my warning light and buzzer should come on and after it does while still fanning your brakes between 40 to 20 psi both my valves should pop out. When they do you would cut off your truck and say this concludes my in cab.

The fact that the gauge is was at max is not counted as the cutout test...you have to run the the pressure up and hear the valve pop to let off the excess air...... I think that is why she failed you.

Man when I got my CDL thus part of the test was way easy... As I started to physically do and explain what I was doing the tester just asked me "What pressure for governor cutout, how many psi can be lost on leak test, when do buzzers come on, when do valves pop?" I answered the questions and he said, "Very Good, let's go for a drive." And no this wasnt at a CDL mill, it was 3rd party Tester who was a retired DOT officer.

Thanks everyone. I'm confident that I'll ace it next time if I just make sure to emphasize that I am waiting until the governor cuts out.
Kinda demoralizing, but it felt good this morning when the class B drivers came by my office wanting me to get the a couple empty trailers off the lot so they could keep working, since they don't know how. Reminds me that it was worth spending the time to learn everything.
