I agree with pattyj. you should have stopped. You have to be the careful one. I know 4 wheelers are careless. The point is why have a accident in the first place even if its not your fault and have the power avoid the situation all together

Exactly, you know how ppl are, theyre just looking for a reason to get the trucking industry.Even if this 4 wheeler was at fault, you go to court over this had there been an accident, who's the judge going to believe.

It's all good! I failed mine the first time too. Twelve years later I'm a trainer and helping other drivers out just like you. You'll be fine. We all fail at something at many different points in our life. Failing is a given. It's what we do with our failure that counts! Keep you chin up and hit the try again button. You'll pass with room to spare second time around.Let me know how it goes. God Bless!

Shame about the test but you can re-take it. I think the larger issue is the school. When I went to school back in '95 a friend of mine that went with me took the test 4 times before he passed it. He was allowed to continue to practice with the next class until he passed and just went whenever the school had a test scheduled. They need to be put on notice that they will give you additional time and allow you to test. If not, at a minimum, report them to the BBB and I'm sure there is a department in your state that deals with things of this nature. That's some major BS right there

IF that is what happened.. then YEP thats what the "kid" fails the test. (people who fail the tests are rarely if ever 100% completely honest and or do not even understand why they failed. I have conducted SEVERAL CDL skills tests and while the vast majority do pass, those who fail usually do it over nerves or becaue the RUSH a bad situation. The examiner doesn't have the option of ignoring unsafe acts to get people through the test. The examiner's license is on the line also as there may or may not be an observer on their tail or on the route making sure that examiners arent giving licences away.

Sounds like you made at turn from an incorrect lane or changed lanes in an intersection to me.. What do you thing these examiners are using for their tests? It's called the laws and the regulations. Most of the time teaching people to drive trucks is breaking their dumb and illegal bad habits that they picked up in the last 10 - 30 years they were in the cars before stepping one wet foot in a trucking school.

Go try and be an examiner some day kid.. its always those who never seem to have to do these jobs that seem to know everything about them.

My math teacher made me strongly dislike the color red. Even to this day. Every time she would mark our papers it was with that stupid red pen. I'm all better now.lol
