tight spots you have something on either side that you can use to line yourself up with and restart the back...

open spaces you have nothing! (unless there are good visible lines--yeah right!)

far too many responses from people who either didnt understand what happened, or dont understand how to pass the cdl test. when you make a button hook turn that takes you INTO THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC'S LANE and you end up impeding oncoming traffic, you fail, period. it might not be fair, but blaming the examiner is just stupid. thems the rules, take em or dont take the cdl test. i understand its sometimes necessary to impede traffic to make a turn, or back into a dock. in real life, it cant be helped. but in cdl test world, this is unacceptable. they usually take fairly great pains to have no turns in the test that cant be made WITHOUT button hooking into the oncoming traffic's lane. it is technically not legal to use the oncoming traffic lane to make your turn, realistic or not. button hooks should almost always be made by hugging the right side and using the rest of the lane(s) going your way to make the turn. of course it cant always be done. but im willing to bet that in this case, the op COULD have made that right hand turn without hitting the curb and without using the oncoming traffic lane.

this certainly in no way takes away from the fact that the school STOLE HIS MONEY. part of what you pay for is a reasonable amount of retesting when needed.
