The clutch works the same, whether the transmission has 1 speed or 100. You shouldn't have to be specially trained on every tiny little thing you're going to come across...which may be why you were passed over. You didn't have a handle on the basics needed for the job that was probably going to be more complicated than they felt you would be able to deal with.
As for where you acted like it was the truck's fault, I'll refer you back to your own words in your original post:
And as for the other question you posed...
The answer is still "Yes".
Don't get mad at me for answering your questions just because you don't like the answers. -
I think it's time to close this thread. Beating a dead horse.

I have a interview tomorrow with a nice local job that pays 10k more a year. and they use Auto's. and are willing to have noobs... maybe this was all worth it.
Right I ####ed up I get that, i owned up to it, why are you still talking to me and bring that up when I all ready said that? you are beating a dead horse and again nothing here is said where I blame the truck. I said "I was having probs with the 18 speed" not the truck was acting up. Stop trying to call me out on something that is not here. Knowing now on what to do with the 18 speed there is no way I would of just magically known what to do with the button on the side. dont get mad that I think you need hooked on phonics and learn how to read and comprehend the same things over and over again. Stop being a dick over the computer its not cute. -
From his point of view it was crappy. But if you owned the truck would you want a newbie learning on your equipment? I certainly wouldn't. 13 and 18 speeds are not forgiving. They aren't like a 10 speed and designed to withstand the abuse of an inexperienced operator. The op is new and still had a lot to learn, nothing is wrong with that. But also, nothing is wrong with a company not wanting to pay the cost in equipment damage while he learns.

I've left your atrocious grammar out of the discussion up until now, focusing more on the inconsistency of your statements. What you THINK you said and what you DID say are two very different things...which I have pointed out (much to your chagrin).
Congrats on the new job offer, though. Just remember that there is no way to be trained on every little detail, and much of what you'll have to do is going to be figured out on the fly. So don't be "horrified" (your word, not mine) when something unexpected happens. Adapt, Improvise, and Overcome.
Perhaps I could have sugar-coated my replies, but I've never been known to do that. Toughen up, buttercup.spyder7723 Thanks this. -
I hate that tranny. It's not complicated to shift them. They just don't hold up at all.

Thanks for the kind words little buddy.
"What you THINK you said and what you DID say are two very different things" No buddy its what I said... you are the one who is THINKING up some thing else. -
@Pedigreed Bulldog Dude you really need to chill on the kid. We get your a "Super Trucker" and not everyone can live up to you standards <sarcasm>. He has a legit complaint and has moved on. Maybe you should too? If you can't be positive just shut the f*** up!
