frankly, the best thing to do....??

bring the examiner a bottle of "Jack"........:biggrin_2559:

ok.....not really........small talk though....??? other than "g'morning" and "how are you this morning", is about all you want to "small talk. the DMV or state trooper like you say, already know the student is "wound up".....in fact, it could even end up being the same tester, and he'll probably say, "ready to pass today"......?????......"let's get started".....!!!

I am so sorry you are going through this. I can imagine that the stress of not getting it once and knowing you have a large bill made you miss again. Just think about it being YOUR truck and nobody can drive that truck but you .. The way I did it was I set it up in my head that someone was depending on me to not let them down. I will do for someone else before I do something for me.
It is harder on the road than in the yard, I know you are probably worrying about people watching you ,it may not be that you can't do it with skill, it maybe that you are worrying about the public too much..
If you need good tips for backing maybe some of the more experienced truckers can give you tips you may not have learned at the school so ask them..
There is a fine line between confidence and doubt in trucking. It isn't good to have too much confidence but it isn't good to have too much doubt either. You can do it if you make your mind up that YOU WILL !!!
    Go get it done...

    Everett Thanks this.

Test is 1PM Wednesday. Right now I am in the street watching a Swift guy parallel park (Swift had been giving CDLs to unqualified drivers. Those drivers had to be sent back to school).

onethefence move to North Carolina. Our State DMV doesn't require a parallel park to pass the test. Just a straight back and a 45 degs back. Though I hear they are adding a offset back sometime in the very near future.

School said I could practice the parallel park all I want. Which works for me..

I'm not so good at 45 degree backing either. I'll take the parallel park anyday.
