My rig doesn't have a fridge. I would definitely pack better tasting and better quality food than these crap establishments have if so. Have told friends and family that I could save more if I had a fridge. And they will say get a cooler. But our trucks are pretty small. So no room for an electric cooler.
I bought this thing last year for $15 at walmart and have been cooking with it every single day on the road, it runs fine off of my 2k watt inverter.
I like to do prison recipes on the road before ever going to a restaurant. 1/4 bag of fresh veggies 2 packs of ramen (enough water to soften ramen no more) 1 can of Chili Fresh Cheese Sauce of choice All accomplished with an electric pot. I mean you can get creative and make meatballs too with Sausage and Cheese as the binder. emergency meals would be around $7 total.
All of them are charging stupid prices anymore. I stopped at a Whataburger at the Shell fuel stop in Atlanta, Tx the other day. Was going to get a Patty Melt until I saw the price. $10.79 for just the burger, not the combo. No way
Do u have inverter ? I have a mini fridge I put on my bed while driving and transfer to passenger seat while sleeping.. also have the factory fridge. Good for about a weeks worth of groceries
