They did tell me that, which is sad in and of itself. I just got in that intense, 'gotta get this right', final exam mode and choked. Then remembered as I was walking back to my car that I could skip questions if I had a brain fart. So, guess what feature I'll be taking advantage of on my retest.

This isn't a 'feature' rich profession.. A major change in attitude is still needed

You must not be in Illinois! One question:
How much can a brake drum be cracked?
    A) All the way
    B) 1/2
    C) 1/4
    D) (something else...)

well, I don't want any cracks in my drums so I picked the smallest number and got it wrong!!!
Correct answer is, "Halfway across the friction area"

Very often I remember an answer just a few questions later. Just need a moment to dig it out of my rusty file cabinet brain...

Good luck on the next try.

and remember, as some famous football coach said, "luck is 99% preperation!"

Yep. I hear you driver. I dont want mine cracked or warped. But, that is what it says in the book in Illinois. It was also on practice tests I had found on-line.

They didn't tell me here in Illinois either. I seen that little "skip" button and deduced that it must be there for a reason.

you have to have the drive to suceed that is how i did it in my permit test in florida i failed combos by 2 questions and they let ya get 4 wrong , so a total of six , did that on a monday studied combos for 4 days then friday went back and retook it to get a permit guess what i passed

i have had a learning disabilty since i was a kid alwyas have had problems with tests , but i always rebounded and set my self in a mood i know i can do this and just kept trying

the thing i have always thought to myself you control your own future and have to have the drive to do it

    I know in mn I took and passed the general, and failed the AB and Combo tests. I studied the heck out of each one and then took the tests on 2 seperate days. Made it so much easier I dont know how I passed the AB the second time however I had to get the last 8 right to pass ugh. Now I have the rest of them after only having to take them once d/t, hazmat, and tanker{by far the easiest}

Studied my butt off the last week and went back in this afternoon to retake my written exam, and easily passed. I'd like to thank everyone again for the pick-me-ups, and for the well deserved butt-kickin's.

Here's a few other people I'd like to thank personally.

Not sure if you were just trying to piss me off for motivation or not, but that's exactly what happened, so thank you.

Hahaha!! I had this question come up today, so thanks for cluing me into an answer.

I hear you man, I studied more in the last week than I did during Final Exam week at college....ok , not quite, but close.
