Not sure what states you need escorts in, but an escort cost in the ball park of $1.40 per mile plus $75 overnight, plus the cost of your permits. As far as a rate out of there you might get $2.75 to $3.50 for an oversize. I personally would start at or above $3.50 and see if they bite. In addition, not sure how you are routed but obviously your tolls in the cost of the load. HIT THEM HARD!!! Without any escorts I would price this one at $5000 to $6000, and they may or may not bite.

With escorts I would be in the $6000 to $7000 range. To me it depends on the time of year and what kind of demand they have for trucks out of there. How are you routed out the Jamaica to Miami?
281ric Thanks this. -
i got 7 grand for it but how fast the broker accepted made me think i could've gotten more money.thank you for the reply.
-
i dont know how im gonna be routed yet but my guess will be I295 to delawere and catch I95 all the way to miami.
-
Not real sure about the escorts, you probably need one all the way. BUT, you might need two in some states which will hurt the pocketbook a little bit. If you have to have two escorts I would've probably went up on the rate a little bit.
Cetane+ Thanks this. -
another question, can i put a partial on the top deck?
-
I would fill all available space as long as their rate sheet DOESN'T say FOR EXCLUSIVE USE, in other words they have exclusive use of your truck. BUT just keep in mind with a oversize you cant go off route so if you are going to take something it should drop after you get the oversize load off.

i think of it as a learning experience plus i enjoy the challenge.thanks again

im aware of that,i was just thinking about dot saying the partial is not listed on your permits.
