One of the companies I haul for, bought two sets of drive tires . They look really good. Good solid pattern. I'm keeping an eye on them.

I can't discuss Falken tires with a straight face. Please forgive me.
Another Canadian driver, Aamcotrans, spyder7723 and 3 others Thank this. -
Falken Tires aren't a very popular brand of Commercial Truck Tire, personally in my 25 years of driving I've never even seen one for sale in any Truck Stop or Tire Center.
They are a more well known brand for cars and light trucks.
I would stick with tried and tried brands like Bridgestone and Michelin.Another Canadian driver, Aamcotrans, MartinFromBC and 1 other person Thank this. -
I ran a set of falken steer tires. You couldn't give me another set. Worst tire I have had on a truck.

My boss thought they might be worth a try, and I'm the guinea pig. My truck has the BI-887 drive tires on. When they were new they were great in the snow. Then after about 40000 miles the inside tires started to wear funny. After a rotation , those tires evened out and no issues now. We run local, pulling dry bulk tanks, and normally only see roughly 150000 miles on a set of drives. At 110000 miles these have more tread left than any other tire we've tried. I honestly believe these would make it 175-180000 miles. But they suck in snow once you have some miles on them. And they are heavy. 8 of these are 200 pounds heavier than the BFG Dr444'swe were running.
Overall, they're OK I guessD.Tibbitt, Another Canadian driver and lastgoodusername Thank this. -
Anybody else has experience with these tires?
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Well, I decided to try them out, since they are owned by Sumitomo (which also owns Goodyear and Dunlop now).
16 ply, 30/32 thread and made in Japan. Looks like they came out just last year, so I couldn't find any long term reviews. For $2500 installed we'll see how they work

Let us know what you think
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I know a few that have tried them. No complaints. Common sense is how they looked at it,meaning you get what you paid for. I have always had excellent luck with Kelly’s. USA made.
Another Canadian driver, Intothesunset and 2CAN Thank this.
