Yes they are.when I filled out an application for a company in Omaha a few days later I received a twenty minute phone interview. she asked how often I take my car in to get an oil change do I keep my car clean do I work better alone or with others.they just wanna know a little bit about you before you driving one of their trucks.They then set me up for a physical. I passed the standard Dot physical but failed miserably their weight lifting physical..some of these companies have too many hoops you have to go thru to get hired then they wonder why they can't find drivers.other companies dont have strict policies like they once did.they'll take whoever their insurance approves.

My first road test many years ago was a nightmare.......almost took out a light pole on a hard right turn, then had to do 45 deg angle backing between two trailers and sucked at it. I told the tester that I wasn't use to a 53 ft van.....and he said No problem.....Passed!
