    It seems to me that driving during the day is easier than at night, with regards to nodding off. Are there tricks to staying alert at night?

    Already been answered;
    Take a short nap then continue.
    Eat something.
    Drink something.
    Chew gum.
    Listen to music.
    Listen to books on tape.
    Listen to Satellite radio talk shows.
    Have a conversation with someone via CB or cell phone.
    Stop, get out and stretch your legs for a few minutes.
    Caffeine tabs, power shots, energy drinks.
    Pulling facial and nose hair out.

    What more answers do you require?

    Awww geeze dont say that some fool has already tried that in an rv.The story goes as follows;

    She buys a 32-foot Winnebago and, on one of her trips she's driving on the freeway and sets the cruise control on her RV to 70 miles an hour. She then steps out of the drivers seat and climbs into the back to make a sandwich. The RV crashes but she survives the crash. She then sues the manufacturer for "neglecting" to write in their user's manual that she was not supposed to do this. She sues them. And wins. She is awarded a new Winnabago and a million dollars.

    Turn up the radio, let down the window, look left and right at the traffic, sing along with the music to keep yourself alert.
