I was told, you are better off saying you left your log book at the truckstop, rather than show them a falsified log book. I wonder what tipped them off?

nothing to worry about with your company.be thankful you run a log book and not elogs.I have not been placed out f service in a very long time due to my loose leaf but i wouldn'tworry too much. lesson learned so carry on driver.my last OOS in Lousyanna cost me $225,and ticket was mailed to me. that was in 2005. i highly doubt future employers will care. it just shows that you are willing to run and if not that,it was an honest mistake that will not happen again i am betting.it's cool man.
Falsification of a log is a felony, not having a log is a misdemeanor. If you know what you are doing you cannot get caught. But it is always better to just run legal. Think of it this way. False log in most cases will net you maybe a couple hundred bucks a week, that is pretty much max, unless you are really running over. But lets say you get rear ended at a light. Now if they prove that you have a false log and that you should not be at that location, then you are 100% at fault for the accident. If the person dies from the accident you will be in prison for years and loose everything you own, or will ever own. At one time this was not the case, but it is now. It is no longer worth it to me to run illegal.
