No this has not happened to me. I was speaking in generalities of life. Having an attitude of vindictiveness usually is not conducive to a happy life. But, yes.. I have been vindictive in my adult life though I don't make a practice out of it. 30 years ago my sister and I seemed to enjoy throwing each other under the bus. Our parents caught onto that pretty quickly and it started to backfire on the one doing the tattle-taling and getting in trouble too!![]()

You do have a point there Fancypants. I have spoken with drivers from other companies and they are making similar to what I am making. Maybe staying and getting another bonus is the better option, along with getting more vacation time.fancypants said: ↑Hell no I wouldent Quit ??? Why would you ? To take a Pay cut.

By the way, do you use mouthwash? Some contain 12% alcohol (e.g., Scope) and some people smell like it was peppermint schnapps, not mouthwash, they just gargled.

Please PM me the name of the company, write me a glowing recommendation letter and quit so I can get your job!
"Should I continue on with this company (weekly salary, take home pay $800) or move on to a better company after my 1st year?"
Truthfully, I believe you handled the situation with great class and maturity. However, next time you encounter her, make it obvious you are checking her out and just as obviously, smirk.

If you're interested, the company I work for is Schneider. The fleet that gets paid a salary is called Flex Fleet. Everyone else gets paid by the mile. So if you are interested, remember, FLEX FLEET!!! I wouldn't accept anything else if I were you. Give them a call. -
Are you sure this isn't all coincidence? Maybe your name was pulled for a random. I've seen and heard all kinds of lame excuses just to get the heat off one telling you. You need to come in and sign this, you need to go to the shop. Then when you get there, they pop the news on you.hobbypassion21 said: ↑Hello there. My name is Stephan and I am a rookie driver, 9 months & going on my first year, who loves truck driving. So far so good. I've been with Schneider the whole time and it's been wonderful, especially the nice little bonus that was earned for good performance. Yesterday, however, I had a little incident. The receiver/manager at JC Penney seemed to be in a bad mood. And I knew from the start that she had it in for me. You can tell when someone doesn't like you. It's just this vibe you get from someone when you're next to them. Not only was she rude, she also thought it would be a good idea to try to get me in trouble, and hopefully end my career, which would have given her satisfaction for some odd reason. So she reported me to the company, suspecting me of being under the influence of alcohol. When I found that out, I really wanted to go back to the store and see her face-to-face and have her tell me what her problem is with me. The account manager refused that I go back into the store so I obeyed, but I really wanted to give her a piece of my mind. I gladly told my dispatcher that not only will I accept the breathalyzer test, but that I would also undergo any other sort of test or all of them combined: urinalysis, blood test, even hair follicle. I assured my dispatcher that this wouldn't take long at all and that I would be right back with the test results. 0.00 BAH!!! The company apologized but I know it wasn't them who accused me. It was that store manager, who really detested me for some reason, that wanted & desired to put an end to my career. Still, the company apologized and I said it was ok, that it wasn't their fault. They were just responding to an action that was taken by the store manager. The company said that of all of these incidents that they had to deal with, that I was the one who took it the most lightly and they were surprised. Well, it wasn't them who accused me. It was the store manager. But either way, after this incident, it does disturb me a little bit and I am considering wether to continue on with Schneider or move on after my 1st year. Schneider seems like a good company and I'm happy with them, especially after the nice bonus, but my question is this...Should I continue on with this company (weekly salary, take home pay $800) or move on to a better company after my 1st year? Experienced drivers, you input is great appreciated. My hats off to you guys.Click to expand...
It's highly possible that's the scenario if you talked with your dispatcher earlier about her.
By the way, it's not neccessary to post your name. You'd be surprised who reads the forums, facebook and other social sites. -
You know what? She would do something like that. Hahaha!!!LOL! That's ok though. I do believe that what goes around comes around. Thanks for cheering me up though. We all need a laugh sometimes.CondoCruiser said: ↑Of course you are suppose to handle it in a professional mature manner. Just like some idiot that cuts you off or whatever. Take it as a grain of salt and tomorrow is another day. By Friday you will forget about it. Unless they keep posting, lol.
I watch them judge shows all the time now that I'm home. People get sued everyday for spreading false rumors. But you have to prove it. It seems like too much work though. You have to be the suing type.
The mentality here in TN is you don't get mad, you get even. Thinking along them lines, them big stores have district managers and corporate managers. Contact one of them and say you delivered and saw her snorting a line or something through a crack in the office door. I guarantee you she will be getting a visit. Then you'll have self satisfaction she got her arse yanked for a drug test. The witch will be hunting you down then if it took the rest of her life. Those type are crazy!

You know what? I brought up that point too. I do use Listerine every morning. But Listerine smells minty and alcohol in the breath is the complete opposite...it stinks! I think part of it was possibly that, the other part was maybe her having to wake me up at 5AM when my Qualcomm said delivery at 6AM. Maybe those 2 factors had something to do with it. Or maybe she just wanted to go for the kill for some strange reason.A21CAV said: ↑By the way, do you use mouthwash? The dispatcher told me where the accusation came from. The moment I finished helping them unload the trailer, I received a message in my voicemail. It was the dispatcher telling me to stay put and not go anywhere. I didn't know what was going on. I thought they wanted me to take a backhaul. But when another Schneider driver came to the scene, I knew something was wrong. The dispatcher wouldn't give me any info on what was going on. So I called the one who is in charge of me and she explained everything. So no, it wasn't a random. It was the store manager. -
You did the right thing be the bigger person and go on with life and the next time you see her just be professional and polite, that will burn her more than doing something stupid.

This is one more reason why I'm all for breathalyzers in trucks. It would be the perfect way to cover your ### in situations like this. Not to mention stall those drivers that find it ok to hang out in their truck at drinkin beer.
