Family Dollar

I do fd with jb hunt. If you are determined to do it, do it with hunt. I gross $1200 to $1350 a week off weekends. But I hate it, hunt is great to us but family dollar loads the trailers all screwed up, 40+lb boxes falling on you, 2nd deliveries crap in front of the first deliveries crap, walls of merchandise coming out at you as soon as you open the doors, tight delivery schedules, tight backing, ghetto's. It sucks man.

 

700 bucks a week take home to hand unload
53 ft trailers. Unbelievable.

 

Out 2 weeks minimum. I refuse to run that long. You can run 2500+ miles a week with 48 hours at the house. The ability is there but inept load planning and dispatching prevent it

 

I was sent there to help out because the youngn's were falling out I only did that gig for bout a month and went back to my NE regional run.

 

It really is a tough job. I know I make more than $700 a week. Hell late last week I had a run and made over $700 on the one run. I'm not long for this job though honestly

 

I used to deliver too the Joliet warehouse. I would see the guys loading the rollers into the back of the trailer and all I could think was "F" that. The load was a mess leaving the warehouse, I couldn't imagine what it looked like at the first stop.

Looking at the end of that trailer in that pick is just unbelievable. What a bunch of unprofessional idiots loading that trailer. The warehouse manager and dm should be fired for allowing such utter slop
