lol, I wish. We have arranged financing for the repair but we are talking to an executive the main office of the dealer. He says if they screwed up they want to fix it. Not a lot of hope but we may still be able to get help from them. Do not want to spend my money unless I have to.

We have been running a lot from Atlanta/Chattanooga up to Seattle and back. I can find good rates to Seattle and I have a freight source in Seattle that will give me a good paying load back to the Southeast any time I want one. Now that winter has arrived (chains required on Snoqualmie Pass yesterday) we will only make that run if we want to visit family. Have a good connection in South Texas so will probably do a bunch of runs across I-20 and I-10 for the next few months. We can run anywhere we want and use load boards to pick our own freight and have built relationships with a number of brokers that we can call for loads also. We can also get loads directly from F2F if we like. It is a pretty sweet deal. It is amazing to me how many truckers are crappy business people. Brokers are constantly shocked when you stay in touch and pick up/deliver on time. We have had brokers offer us more money without asking when we call for a load we have run before.

Ooh, bad subject. The dealer told us Volvo Corp had kicked in $3500 towards our repair. Then they said "we will get you guys a rental while we figure this out" Then they said "Send us the bill for the towing" ($1310 after what the insurance company had paid). After about 10 days in the rental they called and said we had to get the rental back in within a week because we had almost used all of the $3500. This is part of the discussion we are having with the dealers corporate office. Lots of back peddling going on.

Wow, so what is the total truck repair going to cost? Are they basically rebuilding the whole motor from the oil pan up?
