Kevin, what you make will be determined by a lot of factors that you control. How fast do you drive? What does your truck cost you? How smart do you run your business? How well you can build relationships? We are a team and I know what we make. All that said, maybe you mean gross and if so I would think you could hit that but again, we are a team so not sure. I have never heard of any dry van guy making $1.66 a mile net.
I am much more concerned about line 43 on my 1040

Well, if I am paying for it we are probably going with a used engine. I found a used 09 with 330,000 miles on it for $13,500. Installation will be approx $4,000.

i'm curious as to the benefits of installing that used motor that's almost halfway to an inframe. knowing nothing about how it was taken care of.
vs.
doing an inframe and having a fresh motor with zero miles.
wouldn't the cost be the same???? -
The dealer was also wrong or lying about the block being toast. I can do a complete rebuild for about $16,000 to $17,000. -

just my opinion.... I would go with the 159k motor, sound like the best deal to me
it's been broken in (good time to go with a by-pass filter & synthetic) but hasn't had time to be abused so you should get 900k out if it.
if you do it will the new (to you) motor be complete.....? it so can you keep some of the parts off the old motor (turbo, fan hub, ect...)..... my thinking is if you can just box then up and store them until you need them then have the part shipped would save you money but the trade off would be longer down time... just thinking outloud.NoCoCraig Thanks this. -
"I have found out that the prices the dealer was quoting are crazy. We have found a used engine with 159,000 miles on it that I can get installed for about $11,000 including labor. I was leaning toward a rebuild but I think we are going with this deal instead. The dealer was also wrong or lying about the block being toast. I can do a complete rebuild for about $16,000 to $17,000."
And here you thought the stealer was trying to help you guys out.....they earn that name every day.vikingswen Thanks this.
