between 59 and 61 and rpm 1250 to 1300. We decided we are in it for the money, not the glory

I can't help but feel we are making money sitting at home this weekend. Picked up a GREAT paying load near Birmingham on Friday that delivers Monday morning in Michigan so getting two full days off in Chattanooga. We then have a good paying load coming right back to Chatt. Our move to Tennessee has been awesome

Well,I guess it is update time. We have been doing great. Rates are solid and even in traditionally bad freight areas we have been making dang good money. A couple of weeks ago I decided we needed to push for higher rates and drive less at a higher profit. Looking to minimize wear and tear on the truck and make more money. I think this crappy winter has helped as we look for opportunities to go to markets nobody wants to go to in bad weather. We have really missed all the bad weather for the most part. I book a load from the South to Maine at over $3 a mile as Maine is getting hit by a storm, storm is gone when we arrive and there are no trucks for outbound loads so we get over $2 a mile coming back out to a great freight area like Ohio. Has worked like this for PA and Denver also. Truck is running great, we are getting most weekends at home and we have a new dog. Spent last weekend in Phoenix and caught some Mariners Spring training. What a blast. Heading home from Harrisburg PA today for a long weekend at home. New drive tires, shocks and an alignment for the truck so we will be home for four days. Life is pretty good but I was dumb enough to tell BigBadBill we were going to be home. They bought a new place and it needs painting. I feel some kind of weird, very contagious, sickness coming on.

Hey, effort into the money pit has a direct correlation to the amount of time you get to spend on the dock. ;)

Did I also mention that I am tearing the doors out of the laundry room and making it more of an open area? I need to find someone that knows how to do dry wall. Can you think of anyone?

On a serious note, nothing makes me happier than to see the two of you making the money you should.

    1) hold sheet in place with one hand
2)set the nail with your hammer, leaving a prefect hammer head pattern
    3) realize its crooked. try to take it down without ruining it
4)say the #### with it and mud the three in gap later
    5)repeat

Well, the "paid tourist" gig continues. Picking up a load in Tullahoma TN and heading to Phoenix AZ again. Watching the snow fall here at the shipper I am really looking forward to shorts and sandals in 36 hours. We are meeting my parents, my little brother and my sister and her husband in Phoenix and spending a four day weekend watching the last couple of Mariners Spring Training games and hanging by the pool. 85 degrees and sunshine sounds pretty dang nice right now.

Where do you usually park the truck when you visit family or friends in different cities?
