Does said carrier need to be a team operation? Have own authority?

I have a question or 2 about expidite. 1) Are all the straight trucks expediters and 2) do they charge more for their loads? Reason I ask is, just got finished with a load that consisted of a whopping 2 pallets and 1100 lbs. Kind of a waste for a 53 footer. lol

I am not a Bill but I think the answer is on case by case basis.

And what part is Bill's and what part is insurance call.

I hope they are picky on the CSA scores. I very much enjoy getting the bypass nearly all the time by my prepass.

I personally and others who I know pulled solo expedite loads, usually they well under 11 h but I am sure longer exist too.

About authority - I assume that Bill would have to deal with motor carrier, since he can't broker loads to somebody being leased to somebody, if is that what You asking.

For the most part, st8's are called expediters even though most loads are more of a ltl type.

So, I have decided that the "free" service at the dealer is killing us. We have been shut down every other weekend for the last eight weeks for the same problem. We decided we would rather pay a couple of thousand dollars to have it fixed as it would be much cheaper than trying again for free where we bought the truck. So the truck is at Vanguard, Volvo dealer in Forest Park GA. They seem to know what they are doing so fingers crossed.

I haven't found a dealer that can do that right. However I did find the Nashville area suspension, frame shop all the Nashville heavy duty truck dealers take trucks to for alignments.
