Fuel Pro 482 is designed specifically for DD15. And the filter only goes to 7 microns.
-
03-36867-010 is the part # for my air filter. Donaldson Advanced PowerCore system.
-
Fleet Air Filters... maker of the fleet air filter, announced a product for the DD15 at MATS this year.
-
As if that's not ambiguous. Even so, if its designed for Cascadia or Western Star...it won't fit Coronado.
-
Well, of course! That is because Detroit specs a 7 micron filter for their engines. Been that way for the 382 and the Series 60 also. Is there something new here? Hardly.
-
According to Detroit Diesel the factory 3 filter setup filters to 3 microns.
-
And their are three Davco units then? Of course not. This is same for the ISX with it's two filter setup. The Davco uses a 50 micron and the second spin on uses a 10 micron. So what if one of the filters on the DD15 goes to 3 micron. We were talking about the Davco, and that is a 7 micron for the Detroit.
-
what I'm saying is that since the factory filters clean better than the Davco then I don't see any benefit in having a Davco
-
I always like the Davco systems because one can see how the filter and fuel is doing. Like any air in the system or the color of the fuel. Also normally the davco filter are cheaper and easier to change.
