Carefully read the installation requirements you have to change the fuel line size and routing to get maximum gains from air dog. It took me about 9 hrs to do my 1st 1. Got it down to about 5 now (if I have new lines made in advance)

Just got my PP high flow mufflers today, going to install this weekend, run for 2 weeks and get an accurate mpg change. Then install the AirDog and run the same basic routes for two weeks to see if there is any increase.

    Doubt that.

Interesting product, but it's always an amber light when the guy making those types of claims only has 3 posts and they're all in favor of one product.

I have chose airdog for my acert cat (class-8 Kenworth) their system imo addresses the acerts short-falls. I installed airdog on my dodge 3500 using their fuel line upgrade kit, no other mods ,I still have factory intake, exhaust,(no muffler)no programmer and can pull with my buddies duramax that has a 4" exhaust cold air intake and a programmer. Don't misunderstand I can keep up on hills(not out pull) and I get about 20% better fuel mileage than he does. Hope I get the same result in my Kenworth.

always been an Air Dog Fan due to quality, support and improvements. They seem to stay 1 step ahead of FASS, maybe because they have the original design.

The way it was explained to me once, was that the original Fuel Preporator was designed and sold a long time ago for OTR trucks by the father of the FASS owner. Then the father got sick, and decided to sell off the company or shut it doors cant remember, for a few years, in that time his kid Started up FASS, then the lawsuits were filed, and the father started back up for business and has been competiting with him since. FASS held a large market share a few years ago, and every dealer was carrying them, now its all switching over to AIR DOG, the Fuel Preporator II is a very nice unit.

I could be way off though.,

Sad to see a father and son fighting over market share....Thanksgiving dinner conversation must be entertaining in that household....

Having read throught the thread,it seems both products are pretty decent and it just comes down to marketing, your local dealer, and sales back up

I believe you get same results by just adding an electric transfer pump. Taking the air out of fuel is almost impossible but using a "pusher" pump you prevent air getting in the fuel.
