1st off,Theres no need to block tires,or have any concern whatsoever about drivetrain or suspension issues, unless
of course you start blocking your tires to make up miles. The beauty of the device is in its simplicity..
1st. You make up miles by leaving the safetypass 'ON' after youve stopped.which is kinda neat cuz u realize,
gee ive fueled, parked, and maybe even showered and normally id just be pulling in.realtime demonstration.
2nd It does render the speedometer useless when using the device, that said,I never noticed I didnt HAVE to have
one to know my speed.I was postitive of my speed within 1-3 mph using the Tach.
3rd Fuel usage very well had to have gone up.I dont have an inside scoop on it but,I just dont think theres the
$$$$ to investigate the mountains of data produced by these large companies.
I used it when I could for 7 months for 1 of our larger US carriers and they never had a clue as to my using it.
I used it 4 passing, runs at steep grades, and my occasional runs across wyoming and nevada. And ill admit after a month
or two I blew off making up the miles and they never noticed.though i wouldnt recommend cuz some carriers could.
If youre not bright enough to stop using after the 1st shop call is about the ONLY way I could see a situation where
it could endanger your job.
Ive been driving for 24 years safely, and I liked having it along in my truck.Had other nifty little functions that I wont
go into now.Remember, these governors are in place for 1 reason and 1 reason only,to save fuel $$$$$.God bless
the grey haired grandma driving 'safely' at 35mph on the interstate.Much safer?!
I will say I though it was a bit pricey myself, but after the initial hit I liked having with me after that
I hate typing sometimes so im gone...... Kermit 'De Trucker'
