Actually no they are not. If there is a warrant, they almost never fight it, but they do require that much at least.
And before you disagree with me, go fond proof they cooperate with law enforcement without a subpoena first.

I used to work IT before I got tired of all that horse crud. Just because you hear it on the news doesnt mean its true, media outlets lie to paint people in a bad light even if they are doing good. people dont want to hear about corporations when they do good things. so you never see them on the news when they do. believe me if you want. But at the end of the day, OP is more likely to find the Perp who did the hit and run throught than they would if they tried data mining E-logs

The Op started this thread on 4/22 and was last seen on 4/23. So i’d say none of this matters. The OP obviously doesn’t much care what we have to say.

So did I, and I still pay attention to various privacy mailing lists, cern, and various sites like /. Anytime just about any company gets data to the government it makes the news. Almost every single time it comes out the data was obtained from a subpoena.
Now if you really want to talk about companies that give your information to the government, look no further than you phone company.slow.rider Thanks this.
