No idea are they the same as a f250 one on the frame rail other I see on top would failing injectors turn engine light on? Had a full tank didn't smell strong enough do I drained it will try new fuel tomorrow
-
Failing injectors do not always cause a check engine light. Does it feel like it has a miss? Is this a maxxforce or not?
-
Heavy, he says it's a 2007 4200, 6.0 litter. I'm guessing that would be a DT466?
-
VT365 is the 6.0 liter. 466 is 7.4 liters. Maxxforce 7 is 6.5, so I answered my owe question, LOL!
The codes you are listing are from the body controller, not the engine. They are cluster codes. If there are any engine codes then the engine warning lights should be flashing a code when you hit your cruise buttons. Like the other posters said, try changing your filters and use fresh fuel since this has been sitting. -
first time in 16 months of owning one of these nightmares that i have gotten a straight answer.

Morning. I have a 2015 Maxxfoece 13 with 84,350 miles auto. I have the same code spn 5542 fmi 17. I had this code active before where the air line to going to the low pressure turbo back pressure valve was off. I reinstalled it. That had been close to 3 weeks now. Today the unit came back into the shop for the same code. The air line is still connected to the valve. I removed the air line at the front of the motor from the air distribution box. Not sure the real name. I pushed air through the line and I watched the valve open and close with ease. I also did it with little psi, 5psi. Still did the same. Held psi as well. Our units are not line hual. We hual milk and they are not on the road enough to complete a active Regen to give you an idea. I have put the unit into a Regen as I am typing this. The #5 exhaust manifold gasket is leaking. Looks like the front cuff is leaking too. Been common on these. I have done 3 already. They are not fun at all. Our software security is limited on what we can do and we do not have access to Internationals t/s. Anyone have more knowledge on this?
Thanks,

5542-17 is for turbo charger 1 turbo charger outlet pressure below desired. This is basically your exhaust back pressure. The ECM needs to see more than 3 psi of back pressure when the exhaust back pressure valve is commanded on. This is that air actuated cylinder after the turbo in the outlet pipe. For whatever reason, this valve is not working. Usually the valve seizes up and won't move. They normally seize in the closed position and cause excessive back pressure and low power, but anything is possible with these. If you can perform actuator tests at key on, engine off, do the exhaust back pressure test and see if it is moving or not.
