I was thinking phone setting at first but Waze and Google Maps stay lit while they run, and one20 times out -
One20 support says truck navigation is not supposed to time out but it does. I changed the phone setting to always lit and it solved my problem. I have to remember to manually switch the phone off now but that's not the end of the world
