    Case #EB-2007-2954
    Dear Sir:
Information before the Commission indicates that two of your drivers have been operating radio equipment without a license on 28.085 MHz and causing interference to licensed stations in the 10 meter amateur band.
The drivers were observed operating unlicensed on September 21, 2006 at 4:45 PM in tractors displaying the numbers 2069 (hauling trailer #30877) and 2079 (hauling trailer # 30937)
Please advise your drivers that operation of radio transmitting equipment without a license is a violation of Section 301 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. With FCC continuing to cite folks and issue fines (something almost unheard of a few years back), could it be a bit risky to continue operating outside the CB band without the proper license?

With 1500w and a clipped modulator, I broadcast on ALL of the bands, at the same time....

Hey! Somebody said that a CB radio wave is about the same as a microwave. Is that why I can feel the heat from my MonkeyMade from inside the cab? :toothy3:

One last question. Are you AKA "Radio Ray"? :toothy5:

Laugh if you want, sir, but as you can see the Feds are getting very serious about dealing with "freebanders".

Ignorance is bliss............................. Those who think they know what they are doing DON'T---either to others OR themselves. That's why they are laws to punish those who act like "rebels"! They protect the innocent as well as the stupid.:toothy7:

Reckless and unwitting use of excess power is more likely to make a monkey out of those who treat it foolishly---a DEAD one.

Read up on what microwaves can do to the human body. HIGH wattages at lower frequencies are also suspect according to scientists. All those "watts" may contribute to a mysterious onset of cancer later in life. It has been shown that high RF power heats up cells of the body.

Amateur operators who ARE allowed to use high powers are required to use certain formulas to check that their radio setups do not adversely affect THEM or OTHER innocent people. The unwitting and unwise obsession with wattage is sad really.

    Radio Ray

Radio Ray is a poster on another trucking forum who is either copying and pasting your messages, or is getting his talking points from the same source. I even thought you might be one in the same. I like to bug him, too.

More then likely, thee FCC warnings was birthed by a couple of amatuers DFing on QRM on the 10meter band looking for interfering signal sources. Usually how this stuff starts-complaints from those of us whom are legal on these bands.

For the poster of the 1500 watt kicker-you deserve what ever happens to you.

Best key that I knew years back and has since gone quiet-talked around the world on less then 1/2 watt. Now that is a feat of note. Anyone can have power but, it takes skill to contest QRP.
