Nope but not saying that but some serious study is needed into what will satisfy the wants of both parties some arbitration is long overdue so all will be happy. The blacks seem to want the airwaves to be a wild wild west shoot out the white guys want law and order and the FCC wants law and order on the ham and use a cannon to keep the peace when they should all come together and meet in the middle.
I personally think that some segments of the ham band in the 10 meter band should be set aside so that anyone can get wild and have shootouts as long as they don't get crazy as hell and bleed into other bands such as TV etc.

The FCC already did that, and without a consensus, when the 11 Meter band was removed from the Amateur Radio Service and reassigned to the new Citizens Radio Service.

How much spectrum does anyone need for watt wars? If someone really needs to compete, there are already Ch 6, 11, 26, 28 (and often others) on 11 Meters that are used for that.

Yep there is nothing like sitting at home with some clown (doesn't matter what color they are) making the lights dim and having your nice new 42 inch LED TV black out when he drops the hammer down with 10k a block away. Just can't get any better than that... oh did I mention that the toaster was talking too?

 

Play your cards right, install a couple of 11 Meter crystal (diode) receivers, and use the rectified current from the RF field generated by the local clown to power *your* gear Let some of that energy do something useful for you, as long as he's spraying it out into the ether that closeby.

With a little luck, you'll be able to hear the words coming out of the toaster, too. Just keep the youngsters out of earshot....

Dude they no one in the 11 meter band is allowed to shoot skip and that's what they are doing. How long do you think that I would be allowed to talk on HAM the same way as they do on CB? Trust me it won't last long the other well established operators would turn me in quick!

 

And no I am not talking dirty language either!

 

From what I can tell is that they don't mess with CB users anymore unless they get wayyyy out there and make the people in the hood mad then they drop by give ya a chance to give em ya stuff no harm no foul and or with a letter in the mail after that they get in ya rearend with them fines unless you know somebody way up in the power structure.
