Every time I run into Dallas, LA, Chicago, or Philly, and didn't take a break right outside town, I plan as though I will be OUT of hours once I'm empty. As far as Dallas goes, I pretty much always go a Days inn in Irving that has truck parking.

I absolutely hate the carrier apu on my Peterbilt. I asked Mike about gliders he said no. I don't want to lease because I would rather have a low monthly payment over the weekly payment plan I need flexibility to take time off work. I like to take a month off sometimes to visit Asia.

I actually was given a load of Racks coming straight back from Morristown to Lincoln. So it was a great stop with an unload and reload all while parked on the same dock. Worked great but probably the exception for sure.runningman0661 Thanks this. -

If your current truck doesn’t qualify.
Sell the truck and go company although taking a month off at a time might be an issue but that depends on how you drive the other 11 months of the year.
Sell your truck and roll that equity into a truck that qualifies here. You still have a monthly payment, if that’s how you set it up, and you can do what you want.
Sell your truck and lease here. You still have the flexibility to take off a month, just save up your weekly payments before you leave or see if they will push out the lease a few months to account for a couple months of no payments. Say it’s a 4 year lease but those 48 months are over 4.5 years and includes a few no pay months for when you are off. If they would do that I’m not sure but worth asking.
I’m sure there are other options that other drivers might think of. -
The Company Dinner was nice as George said. It felt a bit smaller this year and only one food option but I think everyone left full.
The one thing that caught me off guard was I had a Planner walk up to me and introduce herself to me. I can’t remember her name at the moment but maybe Catherine or Kathy??? She plans the Nine States on the Eastern US which is the area I’m in most of the time.
Anyway, it was nice to have her come chat a bit. I just assume most company planners don’t want the drivers to know who they are and keep the DM as a buffer LOL
But that’s FCC… everyone is just part of the family and not all divided up on teams.gntorres61 and runningman0661 Thank this. -
