I have been with Fedex both custom critical and ground as a owner opp. And I have never made less then 2000 a week. You must be passing on loads. But I will offer you sum advise. It's all about where you land and what express center your next load will come out of.

I am a fleet owner with Custom Critical and we have 2 tractors that are running great. About 3 to 5 thousand miles a week which results in anywhere from $6,500 gross to $14,000 gross per tractor per week. That is also pulling a Custom Critical reefer trailer. Our driver teams are getting 40% to 45% of the gross line haul revenue and accessorials - we buy fuel, DEF, all maintenance, tolls, pre-pass, etc. Just from what I have noticed … FedEx is good for temp control freight … Panther is really good for HVP and DOD freight. Both have their strong-points. If you're interested in becoming an owner of your own vehicle, the expediting world is one where you should definitely try it before you buy it and drive for an owner for 6 months to experience the ebb and flow of the expedited freight … it isn't for everyone and you have to be a planner and saver for the down times. It is not constant freight and you will sit most weekends … but the runs you do get pay very well.

Is not a good company, they pay well but their freight isn't consistent, they have you sit for days without anything.
