Do 8 hrs at the local McDonalds, then walk across the street to do 8 hrs at the local BK, just change the shirt and hat.
See, 16 hours work and no pesky log book to fill out. And sleep in your home bed every night.

I work for a company who keeps me busy. They’re out there. Where are you located?

You make a good point, I'm not disagreeing with it at all. Fast food jobs are deliberately part-time jobs and for business reasons they often change the schedules weekly in contrast to the past or other part-time jobs. I don't fully understand the reasons for this scheduling issue.

Don't mind the question, it is easier just to say anything that can be put on a truck. Every state in the lower 48. It is the same as everyone else, you go where the freight and money is.

    tscottme and Albertaflatbed Thank this.

Just because you are tired of letting someone else pay the bills for the truck doesn't mean it's a good time to start paying those bills now or that you know enough about the freight lanes and efficiently operating a truck to be happy or make money. The easiest and hardest thing to change is your mind.

I’d jump in and not think twice about it. But that was me without any experience in the industry and still doing fine. If you have no business experience then maybe not so much. Driving is the easiest part of being a O/O.
