In order to receive the grant monies a participate does have to meet the requirements asked of them, by the program, to qualify.
This is free funding, but the individual participant has to show the initiative and go that extra mile to prove that they are worthy enough to be considered for the training program.
If an individual cannot get through the requirements asked of them in order to receive the grant, then they might not succeed in the training part of the program either.
Best to All!!!

Good luck, several month's ago I applied and after waiting for some time for a response I called, well they told me that they lost the paper work and I would have to reapply? I love the Commonwealth of Virginia but come on! I found the money elsewhere and graduated a week ago after a 200 hr. course, funny thing is that there were other students that were in my class that were there on a grant?

Hey, hello! would certainly like to know more about this WIA Grant thing AND your experience so far with FL Truck Driving Schools (Roadmaster and such)...before I make my next major move...have a couple of truckdriver friends who have been baggering me about taking the CDL step...thinking I'd be good at it, for my love of traveling and driving...let alone NEEDING a good stable income. I do have a nice clean background and driving record...hopefully good positive marks to start!
