I accessed the CHP's CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) System, and followed the progression of the investigation yesterday evening. I have carnal knowledge of their 10 and 11 codes, having been a member years ago, so i can easily decipher the CAD messages. From all ive learned so far, there's no indication that another vehicle contributed to the collision. It's far too early to assign blame, but some factors can be eliminated early on in the investigation. So far, the idea that another car may have contributed to the collision is not their primary focus in this investigation. Indeed, no mention has been made of another vehicle being involed in this collision so far, besides the bus and car that were going northbound.

The CHP's MAIT (Multidisciplanary Accident Investigation Team) will spend months piecing this together. They are the best of the best collision reconstruction experts.

I know what you mean about buses.I've taken a few of them and some of those drivers have scared the heck out of me and im pretty sure some can't read, they have drove beyond the speed limit.Fed Ex also scares me on a snowey day up and down Colorado mountains hauling doubles.

The only thing I am certain about with FedEx is never pull behind them at the fuel island. I know they are pulling 2x/3x but there are pull through spots in the back of the truck stop, no need to do a 30 or take 30 to switch drivers at the fuel island.

"IF" he had 24 hours to think about it like you did, he probably would have chosen one of those other options.

Regardless of the accident, I always see FedEx and ups running way fast. Maybe not a factor here but higher speeds leave less reaction time and also takes more time to loose energy on deceleration.

Lol its that same FedEx guy that blows by me ten times a day..he's like the red baron.

All sad about the losses here.

As usual, an awful lot of "fact" deducing just from the news articles. Who needs accident reconstruction when we have team TTR.
