Yes they offered me the position on the second interview. It took them about three weeks to a month for all my background information to come back .

I believe I did about two weeks training before I was cut loose on my own.

I see. Maybe I'm over analyzing this too hard. But let me ask, did they give you any indication that they wanted to proceed with you at the first interview? Or was it like, "we have other applicants to look at, thank you for your time"?

Dealing with freight companies I only had one that I interviewed for that I didn't get. That was Pitt Ohio. During my background check one of my old companies said i still worked for them and of course my app said I didn't. My old job wouldn't correct the information so I wasn't hired because they thought I was lying.

Nice. Well this interview is really soon. Can you give me any advice about the interview ? Hope I get it. I'm at a pretty good company right now but I consider Fedex a huge step up. Let's see ... Oh yeah any chance they will road test me or give me a DOT physical on the spot?

When I interviewed I just gave them my daily routine which at the time was 20 stops per day and 30 on monday. My interaction with the customers and employees. After my second interview they where I signed all paperwork they sent me for my dot physical and I road tested the after that came back. You should be fine because you have the experience already.

Just interviewed. The operations manager seemed like he genuinely liked me and he smiled a lot. I answered every one of those corporate questions perfectly and it flowed like a conversation. Spent a good 45 minutes talking to me about the job and said he had to send my info and his notes off to HR. I didn't get the " I have a lot of interviews and applicants , we will get back to you" spiel. What do you think of that ? Hopefully I got it.

You have it!! The only thing Hr does is confirm your employment dates, driving record , criminal background etc. If some of your employment dates are wrong they will have you come back in and correct them. But I'll say congratulations now ....

Don't mess with me! If I do in fact get it I think it's like a 50% raise basically. Let us hope.

    RJ33RD Thanks this.
