Don't worry about not knowing how to hook a set because you will be trained on it. The easiest way for was to grab my dolly and put it in front of my lightest trailer that will always be your last trailer. Get the dolly lined up with the trailer , set the dolly brake so it don't roll once I bump it with my lead trailer. Hook dolly to lead trailer and release the dolly brake. Back up and it should hook every time . Get out and hook up all airlines and electrical.

Some company's frown on bumping the dolly, You should be able to get close enough without bumping.

All these LTLs are the same. Customer pays for an inside delivery and have to bring it in. Usuallyvthe smaller cartage companies will do the installing if the customer had paid for it

...in an unexpected turn of events, I was involved in a not at fault accident last night. I was driving 55mph on a county back road when a driver blows through a stop sign and crashes directly into my trailer tandem as I was driving 55 mph . By all rights , they should have been dead. They walked away from it. I wasn't cited or anything. But how' could this affect the hiring process from this point on. I've heard that a not at fault accident can still screw you when it comes to getting a job :(

Any paper you got from this accident take it to the next process, and bring it up to them. Just be honest.

Well thanks guys. When should I give them a follow up call about employment? I'm going to have to walk the fine line between being persistent and stalking the man.

    RJ33RD Thanks this.

Giving an update here. I checked with one of the hiring managers and
they remembered me but said they're still interviewing people. Ehh let's hope for the best.

Well usually freight companies always hire more drivers anyway so I wouldn't be worried. I know I know easier said then done.
