I think he means the job itself, to account for YTD numbers and such.

Yes, when did you start the gig?

Your YTD numbers are even lower than mine. Not putting it down or making fun. Just saying.

Oh I started in May, and the first 8 weeks was all “education” at $20.30/hr since I didn’t have the full year of experience to start as a regular driver. That’s why the “Education” and “Edu OT” lines are so high. It makes it hard to compare the YTD to anything except that of another driver who went through the same thing.

My US Foods YTD was $24884 so that puts me at $63k for the year, or about $64k if my next check counts as this year still. More than double the $27k I made in 2017 (my last full year in retail) and I couldn’t be any happier about it.

The check you have posting next Friday to your bank account will be on 2019 for tax purposes.

Amen, brother! It's important to remember where we came from and hear the reality that's facing the majority of Americans outside of this industry.

One thing I can't stand is when a very well-paid driver seriously describes $70k or $80k as poverty wages. He has either forgotten or never known what it's like to work hard yet still struggle to make ends meet. Thanks for the reminder.

I hear that frequently and I find it disturbing. In my experience the class of driver most guilty of this doesn’t typically amount to much and wants everything for nothing.

Starting the year off strong with this one! Only worked 3 days and I left as early as possible each day since things were pretty slow. It was nice having two paid days off to spend Christmas with my family.

I’m right there with you. They called me New Year’s Eve to see if I wanted the night off because they were cancelling a few runs and I jumped on it. It was snowing like heck at home anyhow so I said sure I’ll stay home. I do plan to work one Saturday a month in 2020 to bank a little extra cash.
