Fedex Freight, I recommend them even if you are a newer driver.

Bakerman I wasn't referring to your comment. I was telling the OP to not be so quick to praise them! Half of the guys I know at my dad's old hub either had heart attacks or died from them..pointly do to the stress FedEx Freight puts on their drivers. Decent job but too much on time guarantee b.s. they push. Each their own..just advising you to be on your P's and Q's.

I find that most of the guys who want to run down FXF have no firsthand experience. I've been there through 10 years and four yards, and I've done far worse jobs for far less money. Welcome aboard!

Lol I have plenty of "first hand" experience with them. Enough to know they aren't worth the time to fool with. They will replace you quicker than you can blink an eye. Local barn here is full of early 20 yr old rookies who can't back a pup to save they're lives lol I assure you FedEx Freight isn't what Sheridan Garrison who was the owner of American Freightways whom FedEx bought out, ever designed his company to be. I imagine he would be highly ashamed if still alive today.

 

I worked at UPS Freight for 10 years and that place was an absolute joke!! Mickey mouse chicken #### outfit! Dispatchers were idiots, management was even worst and the terminal manager might as well have been a puppet sitting at a desk because he was worthless ...yes you Scott! <last name removed> Before I became an Owner operator I work at Fedex Freight Summit for like 8 months and that place was awesome! That terminal was great to be part of ...but I was determined to work my own truck.
