FedEx Freight Question, how long before starting work?

    3 months from application to interview. 1 month from interview to hire date, but I was OTR at the time and it was a pain to get the physical done. After that, about a month of education and observation before I was put on the board as a solo driver. Contract loads, random city bids, dock and yard work for 2 months until a road bid opened up. Add a few weeks for yourself since they have train you to get your CDL.

    When I finally got hired, I worked the outbound dock for a week, simultaneously doing that long computer test stuff. My second week I was on the road on my own.
