Going for a road diver interview next week. I heard there’s some sort of math test you have to take? If so can anyone give me some insight on that and what I should brush up on. and any general FedEx freight interview tips are welcome.
Never heard of a math test. The interview is in the STAR format, so just some “tell me about a time” questions that measure how well you can make up a story on the spot. Ask questions about what sort of runs they have and what you could expect to get as the bottom driver. How many miles and how much dock work, etc. edit: Also, it looks like in another post you said you’re in Wyoming? Make sure to ask how often you’ll be stuck sitting at home in the winter. Especially if it’s for Rock Springs.
Not directly but I’m familiar with the lanes they run and with how FxF operates in the Great Plains and adjacent areas.
Tell me about a time you went above expectations? Tell me about a time you worked outside normal hours? What safety policy do you have an issue with? What strategies do you use to ensure punctuality? How do you deal with a coworker who annoys you? Tell me about a time you acted independently. Tell me about a time you were faced with a challange and how you solved it. Have your stories straight and to the point. You'll be given a work schedule grid with 8 names and what days they work. Then you'll need to answer 5-8 questions like "who works thurdsay?" and "what days does Anglea work". Make sure you have your own pen. Then there's a reading comprehension test where you'll be shown a bunch of hazmat placards and you'll need to read them aloud. Good luck.
