I have buddies that work at FedEx so I know how you're paid. I can break a set and hook a set in 15mins so the $16.40 comes out pretty good. Even if it takes a guy 30 mins to drop and hook a set, which it never should he'd be making $32.80 on the hour. I'm not sure how you're coming up with $16 an hour.

I actually wondered that myself after you posted about going there for XPO a few weeks ago, so I looked it up. It's just some dirt lot that's shared with oilfield equipment: Google Maps

Unless that's the XPO meet...the address for the FedEx meet doesn't seem to exist, but it should be somewhere around there.

It doesn't take an a #### hour to hook a set so it's not $16 an hour.

I understand how FedEx pays but again it doesn't take anywhere near an hour to drop and hook a set. If I drop and hook 3 sets in an hour of onduty time then what was my hourly rate? I understand FedEx is paying more on activity pay but our rate isn't $16 an hour. I will take our activity pay, no dock work and my 70mph tractor and be happy. If you're happy with what you get paid then we're all happy!

I don’t work the dock . Your activity pay is less by double ! and your tractors don’t all run 70! Nyahhh . I’m just factoring , mate , don’t take it personally . I ride with my old dominion friends every night. My real question is , is your fleet mostly manuals still ?

The Belfield Super Pumper is a pretty nice place, except when the OTR trucks give you a dirty look for dropping along the side of the building.

In some ways I’ll miss working at XPO, but in others I’m glad I’m not there anymore. I’ll probably start a thread on Cross Country Freight at some point soon.
    Hopefully you’re doing well.

I'm not taking it personal bud and like I said I know what your activity pays so I wasn't questioning that. You be safe out there.
