I was a journalist for 5 years before I became a truck driver. I absolutely could not survive in today's journalistic climate.

 

I would wait to see statistics. You never know if it's an actual increase in this type of activity, or if it's just increased media coverage.

 

On the subject of the actual shooting, it's just so sad. His mother reported him to the FBI, they put him on a three-day mental health hold, he was released, and just a few months later he does this.

At some point we are going to take care of these people, but I have the unfortunate suspicion that it will be not a moment before it's absolutely necessary.

 

I won't hold that against you. Others might but I won't.

This country used to have much better news organizations, but conservatives hated the fairness doctrine and got rid of it.
