what you can do is just turn off the talk back, the radio is putting out too much power to use the feed back unless you turn the mic gain down nice and low. the radio thing, you cant worry about that... just dont have the radio on. start listening to music. thats what i do because i do have the same problem, i cant use my talk back unless i turn my mic gain WAY down, and i cant listen to the radio and talk on the cb... i can listen fine, but when i want to key up i get a nasty sound and can hear myself behind all the noise... their is nothing else you can do. but now you got a nice grounded system, makes for a great talker huh

Its weird on mine. I had a Wilson 1000, didnt have ANY problems with the AM/FM and feedback. That antenna broke, I got a Wilson 500(not the 5000), all I get is noise. Antenna is in the exact same spot as the old one, SWR is almost exact as old setup. Is it possible the antenna is bad?
Radio is 7W deadkey and 29W Swing, Uniden PC78LTW, "stock" mic.

umm, i dunno it could be possible its bad, or maybe the specific antenna model doesnt do well with the regular antenna, but i live with the problem, theirs nothing i can do, ive always had the problem with multiple antennas and multiple radios, i listen to CD's or just dont talk on the cb.

Another reason why you may get feedback threw your stereo is, the antenna wire for the stereo is not "shielded" and can easily pick up the cb signal.. It may be a little extreme but you may need to look into replacing your stereo wire for the antenna with shielded wire. (i would try relocating the antenna and wire as I mentioned in previous post before buying shielded wire.)

Even the speaker wire can be effected cause it is not shielded. Push a little power and it can easily bleed into the stereo system threw unshielded wires.

Hey thanks trucker joe, not that im gonna do anything about it but its good to know why it happens. i have dual antennas bolted through my fenders right next to my am/fm antenna the cb coax runs along the wire for my am fm antenna, im not gonna change it, but now i know how to fix it if i ever want too.

maybe he needs another antenna on that KW. I'm running a pair of single coil predator 10k's on mine and he has one double coil predator 10K. Maybe it would act right with 2...
