I highly recommend them, not sure it they will last 2 years

Yeah, unfortunately most of their line is casual/comfortable boots, so you have to really search their selection for a good choice.
I should have added earlier, I always have tennis/running shoes in the truck, along with two pairs of flip flops, one are shower shoes, the other are for in the truck on chilly mornings. -
I wear a pair of Justins Work boots. I find them heavy at day's end.
But the sole is so hard, that I don't get the arch cramp of driving like I do with sneakers.
If you find that your work boots are too hot, get a pair of nylon or acrylic socks.
Get a pair of Dr. Scholls Pillow Insoles, and a pair of Dr. Scholls Nylon Work Socks.
Try them for a day, you'll notice a diffrence.
In the military, we wore nylon socks inside our cotton socks. The nylon socks, wick away moisture, allowing your feet to breathe, and let your feet slide a bit inside the cotton socks, preventing blisters.
Perfect for marching all day in your combat boots.
Been thinking of getting a new pair of Jungle boots, last pair I had were soooo comfy. -
Yea, Timberlands are a casual boot. Hell, every once in a while, I wear mine to work (in the JBHT office in Lowell!)
When I take a long road trip, I have a pair of Canvas-toed Sneakers. Very Breathable in the pickup truck, yet hard enough to keep the pedal work comfortable (keep in mind, my pickup is 1. Manual and 2. Lacking cruise control) Although I can imagine in the 18-wheel world, that having a pair of steel-toes or Hard Rubber toe boots comes in handy in some cases (touching freight, Flatbedding, HVY Hauling, etc. -
Good info- thanks folks! Might look into the Timberlands as a first go-round, need to watch the pennies for a bit, and of course, tennies and flip flops are a must. Thanks again!

Well, I went out shopping today and picked up a new boot in the Timberland line. The model is Titan Pro- steel toed, cushioned heal, 6 inch high, oil slip tread, electrical hazard protection, anti-perspirant, etc.. $99 + tax. I looked at the Pit Boss model and the weight difference was substantial. These are very light for steel toed's. Been wearing them all afternoon laying hardwood floor. Very comfy! And, my feet don't take lightly to new shoes- ESPECIALLY boots. So, seems this was a good call. Thanks a bunch for everyones input!

Glad you found a boot you like Kapman. I think when it's time for a new pair, I will go with some Red Wings, because after getting my feet measured, I really need an extra-wide, which timberland doesn't make. I ended up getting a boot that is one size larger than I need, in a wide width, to give my mississippi mud stompers some extra room.
