Well I feel kinda bad for this guy but it worked out great for me. The load planner had me pick up a 500+ mile load 16 miles from a delivery. Well time for the delivery, short drive time the load time which should have been figured in or at least some of it by he planner. My 14 caught up with my drive time and there was no way I could make the run. I made 370 miles of it putting me over 500 for today then dropped it for another driver to pickup and deliver just under 200 miles away for the strict 5am delivery which totally sucks.
Well since I am running this weekend I caught a 700+ run from the Charlotte Service Center to Little Rock Service Center which one way is a 90 mile empty run to Charlotte to pick up the load and then head out.

geez quite a while back but I do remember my transitional fleet manager not being a transition. I got the same loads as all the veteran drivers. Shocked me

In Knoxville for the night. Have an 844 mile load from here to DAL to get me home then a 17 mile run first thing Monday morning to finish the delivery and start my week. Miles haven't been bad my first month with the the company. First week was slow with 1700 but have been getting 2600 to 3000 without working over the weekend. All comes down to managing your clock.
TROOPER to TRUCKER and chopper103in Thank this. -
Glad you are getting the miles. Most don't get the manage your clock deal so they think they are getting screwed. It's about the clock and wanting to work. As long as you keep a good attitude on bad weeks you will be looked out for.
