If you think that sealing the record will do you any good, you are wrong. They find sealed records, they will KNOW you have something to hide, and quietly file your application in the round file.

Sounds like an excuse... There are ways to drink responsibly and there are ways you can drink to potentially harm someone... I usually not one to judge people, but when it comes to driving under the influence it becomes a different story. You were endangering lives of everyone on the roadways and for what? I am also one of those people that will call the law enforcement when I spot a person OVI (DUI) or a constant texter that is swaying in their lane.

I'm glad you got the help you needed and the initiative to change your life, but you still did what you did and there was no need for it. I also still don't believe you belong behind a big rig, and I'm sure most companies feel the same way.

    I would try C.R. England.
They "self-insure". And can cover your costs.

You might earn a few cents less per mile. After about two years, other trucking companys will probibly hire you?

Nope. Find a different career. While I would prefer you never operate anything above a tricycle someone might however give you a driving job that does not require a CDL and you could prove your determination to not abuse your privilege again.

Starting your own business is out. Even if you find insurance you know nothing of the industry. Your not going to get a decent company to consider you. You just not. Way to many qualified clean candidates out there despite the" driver shortage" bs hype.

If your serious I would try and find a pizza job, maybe a taxi. Prove you can drive for a livin g doing something simple like that and keep your nose clean someone might give you a shot. I wouldn't but someone might.

Sorry chief. Some of us may indeed have an attitude in this matter. Some of us have lost friends and/or family members to a drunken driver. A driver of a mere car, never mind a large commercial vehicle.

    I'm one of 'em.

No sympathy here. Yes, people can change. But that in and of itself is not a sufficient reason to give a chance to someone with the type of record you have admitted to to perform a safety-sensitive function.

I wish you the best. And please stay sober.

Not looking for sympathy....was just looking for an honest answer, not anyones opinion about anything else.
