I don't think it's a law in Michigan, or even most states. But it is a good thing to do.

I know they changed it here in Ohio that if your wipers are on your lights have to be also. Never heard of anyone actually getting a ticket though. You can't pass enough laws to overcome stupidity, someone always builds a better idiot.

Who's gonna be drivin one of them expensive cars in the mud???.....lol

Smart way to think about this, Anything that makes you more visible, the better chance that lil old lady on the cell phone will see you than just do it.
One thing is for sure Wipers on Lights on, it is Law in Many States, and again Ignorance of the Law is NO excuse. We as Truckers are suppose to be "Professionals" but I see it this way, If my wipers are on and my lights are on, when someone does flub up, they sure will not be able to say I did not see himjohnday Thanks this. -
well I dont know about now but years ago it was a law in indiana to turn your headlights on in snow or rainjohnday Thanks this.

I had a customer that brought his 4 w900's that only one had em and international eagle that had em to me for service. I agree the mirrors are ugly but driving the truck thru the shop and on/off the alignment rack was so much better on the trucks that had em. I have no real world road experience with them so I can't say if they are useful out in the real world but as for shop life I love em.

It's nice to see around a corner before you put the cab past the corner... Happes quite a bit in the TS or when you blindside back.
JoeyJunk Thanks this.
