Is true. I've already asked for the guys name to request an FOIA for his 214. Even without one a record like this is far in excess of the average soldier and is a one of a kind. Should not be hard to verify.

Quoting Robert Duvall in the famous movie "Apocalypse Now", "I love the smell of stale San Miguel, bourbon, opiates, and cheap perfume, in the morning." Well, not exactly a quote, but close enough for majority of those port calls.

Not true. We request them all of the time to verify claims.

    you guys are something else!!!

attacking a guys uncle for stolen valor??

    WTF ??!!

been there done that and can actually say it now.

times have changed to where it is ok to be a veteran again.

trying to google who was where and when, in 'Nam isn't really going to work real well.lol

official records never tell the whole story. if you don't know this, you don't know squat!

Funny how the guys who were shot on a battle field, or have dozens of confirmed kills are the guys you work with everyday and dont even know they served. The guys who pealed taters under a carrier for two years are the guys who tell you about "serving" every chance they get.

For many Vietnam veterans, not all awards & medals are on the DD-214. Times were different then; sometimes they are discharged & go home, a few months later they get medals & awards in the mail. It took time to catch up with them. Some Korean & WWII vets are, to this day, still getting them.
