FFE is all reefer, but they have other companies under their corporate umbrella.. American Eagle is their dry box division in case your wondering.
Instead of letting others tell you who is good or bad why not list your requirements.. You have to tell us where your priorities lie. Do you want to be home often? Is a new truck important, What type of trailer do you prefer? Where do you live? Where do you prefer to run? If you simply don't care and all you want is chrome and as many miles as you can run... Then ask that too...
What's good for 1 may be crap to another driver.... -
FFE, Lisa motor lines and American eagle are under the banner FFE Transportation services so even if you hire on as American eagle you would still pull FFE reefers. But true enough, different people want different things from a company.

Well, I have worked for them for 18 months now. After training I went solo OTR and was get 1700 a week, couldn't support my wife and kids. So after a month I found someone to team with. We ran as company team for a while but again not getting the miles, so I leased a truck in Jan. I was just out for 2 months and had 3 good weeks(5000+). I do not know why we weren't getting the miles? Never late with a load that was given to us on-time. On average we sat at least 1 day a week, if we delivered a load on the weekend that was it, unless we were in Cali. This is just what happened to myself and my co-driver. So needlessly to say I will not be working for them much longer. Got bills to pay and it cost about $150-$200 a week out on the road, sending my wife $300-$500 a week is not good enough. I just heard that there is a 2 month wait for a company truck, if you were looking to be a company driver.:smt102

Good Luck at your next company,
choose wisely !!!! -
I quit KLLM and trucking because of personal reasons back in August, after a year with them. I spent about 8 months of that running the mid-west regional and the other four running OTR.
I ran as a company driver and was fortunate that I didn't have to wait for a truck, I got one right out of orientation. I have seen some guys wait around for a few weeks to get one. The only thing that I did have to put up with was getting bounced from truck to truck as mine kept getting sold to L/O's. I spent one week in a hotel in Jackson when I was between trucks.
After transferring to MW, that silly crap ended and I stayed in the same truck. I was bringing home on average 650.00 a week and was getting home every other weekend.
KLLM will run you as hard as you want to run, most of the time. I'll let you interpret that statement on your own. There are times when miles are low, but that is pretty normal for any company. Having you Haz-Mat will help you get miles.
My experience is that KLLM is a decent company, the MW group is completely different than the bunch out of Jackson. MW is more like working for a small company, they get to know you by name and do alot of their communication by phone. That makes a big difference to me.
